iOS 8.3, an updated version of iOS 8 was released a week ago by Apple. The new version is bug fixed and offer new cool features.

  1. iPhone Emoji

Approximately 300 new emoji’s been introduced by Apple in this new update.

With an option to change the skin tone of emoji’s, there is a variety of family choice like more kids, families of two women or two men etc. Emoji Keyboard will allow users to access the emoji’s and allow changing the skin colour or tone, users will have an option to choose from six varieties of skin tones and skin colours.

No need to turn on the emoji keyboard while using your phone, there is an option tab with a smiley face on it, which allows access to numbers of emoji’s at once.

If unable to see the smiley tab, there should be a globe tab, just click on it and you can access or change it to the smiley tab.

Tab and hold the emoji to change the skin tone. If it’s hectic to change the tone/colour again and again, just select the tone or colour you like the most and make it a default by tapping your favourite look and holding it for a while.

  1. Good Bye Password

User’s complaint about the password discomfort that won’t allow downloading free apps without entering the password. Now in all new iOS 8.3 you can say good-bye password and download you favourite free app without entering password.

Here’s how to do this:

  • Open Settings
  • Navigate to iTunes & App Stores | Password Settings
  • Select either Always Require or Require After 15 Minutes
  • Disable the toggle for Require Password

  1. Siri Call

Initiate a call via Siri by using this phrase …

“Call [Contact Name] using speakerphone”

By using the above phrase siri will activate a call but on speakerphone. Add “Hello Siri” command while phone is plugged in, will wake Siri up and will initiate a call on speakerphone without even touching the phone.

  1. Carplay

Now connect your phone wireless with your car, with this new carplay option by iOS 8.3.

Apple’s carplay is an in app car solution which will allow you to sync your calls, music, maps and messages on your car dash, no need to plug a cable to access your music, just wirelessly connect music while your phone is still in your pocket.

  1. iMessage Filter

iOS 8.3 will allow users to filter the message based on your contact list. This feature will let the users determine which message they want to focus on at a particular time.

Here’s how to do this:

  • Open Settings
  • Navigate to Messages
  • Locate the Filter Unknown Senders toggle, and ensure that it’s switched ON

After this feature is on, it will allow the user to switch between contacts & sms and unknown senders.

  1. iMessgae Spam Report

If you have suspicion about any message you received, which is not from your contact list, now you can easily report that message to Apple as a junk message.

Here’s how to do this:

  • Open the Messages app
  • Select a message thread that you want to report as junk
  • At the bottom of the message list, you’ll see a new button that says Report Junk. Tapping this button will mark the message as Junk and report it to Apple
